Next Roast Tuesday 11th December

Our second offering from Colombia, a wet processed Castillo and Caturra mix from the Antioquia region, and it's great to have it out! This bean has a ton of body with a sweet berry and chocolate mouthfeel, up front there's raspberry which gives way to satsuma, molasses and chocolate. The body and flavours are shining through as both espresso and filter, fantastic either way.

The bean comes from the El Bosque farm situated in the beautiful region of Antioquia in the village of El Tapado. El Bosque is owned by Jaime Restrepo who inherited part of the farm from his father. The farm is covered by 50% shade trees such as banana. Jaime and his family have worked tirelessly on the farm to steadily improve quality and become part of the Micro Lot program run by the local cooperative.

During the harvest they have help with the collection of the cherry with local pickers to ensure ripe cherry is collected and separated. Once the cherry has been pulped it is then placed in tanks for 18 hours of dry fermentation and turned 3 times in this period. From here the coffee is then dried in the sun on the roof for between 10-14 days.

Please note 1kg will be shipped in two 500g bags to aid eventual freshness.
