We absolutely love washed Bourbons from Rwanda, and this is a brilliant example of one. In the cup you can expect peach, orange blossom and passion fruit, but sitting across all of this is a syrupy sweet honeyed body, fantastic full mouth feel and super moreish. It’s our morning go to at the minute, delicious!

This bean comes from the Gitega washing station and surrounding farms, with the coffee growing at altitudes between 1650m - 1900m, close to the Nyungwe forest and the traced source of the River Nile! The rich volcanic soil of this region make Gitega an excellent location for high quality coffee. The washing station itself is a fairly new venture by Bernard Uwitije, a native of the area, who’s been trading coffee all his life. This is some of the first coffee from the Gitega station and it promises to be a great source of high quality coffee over the coming seasons.

Please note 1kg will be shipped in two 500g bags to aid eventual freshness.
