PEACH, ORANGE, LYCHEE - FRUIT FORWARD NATURAL, SPADES OF IT!

I’ve been so excited to get this coffee out. Normally I’ll have a bunch of coffees I’ll combine into one pallet order from an importer, typically once a month so I can spread the expensive shipping out across multiple coffees, not this one though, oh no, I got this in its own as I was so excited to get it in the roaster. I love fruit forward coffee and this delivers, intensely fruity. It is brilliant. BRILLIANT!

It’s Sidra, our first time roasting this, another new rare varietal, a complex and sought after strain which lands with a cup profile of fruit and florals, so natural processing works wonders here. It’s roasted on the lighter side of medium and I’d suggest filter brews for this - But with some patience can make for a killer espresso. Fruity, floral, delicious.

THE COFFEE ITSELF

This coffee was grown by Johan Vergara at the farm Las Flores, a 25 hectare farm which since 2017 has been focussing on high scoring speciality coffee and exotic varietals. This coffee is harvested following strict ripeness criteria, floated and hand-sorted to remove any defects. Cherries were then processed naturally following a unique series of steps Johan and his brothers have pioneered on their farm.
